Typically, people collect the murtee from our place in London.
However, depending upon your location and demand, it is possible that you can collect it from Belfast, Swindon, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow or Edinburgh.
Please call us for further details.
No. We make idols of clay only and we hope that people would prefer idols made of clay rather than plaster of paris in interest of environment. Also We do not indulge in paper mache for any reason.
Yes. If you let us know about your requirements well in advance. Actually plenty of families contact us almost a year in advance. Obviously they definitely get the clay made Ganesh - Murtee as per their liking.
If you are happy to choose from the designs which are available, you can choose that as long as it shows up as available on website.
However be aware that nearer to Ganesh Chaturthee, availability is prone to change quickly. So do not wait for too long.
If you are interested in getting a clay made murtee as per your design or requirement, we suggest you getting in touch atleast 6 months in advance.
This is because we need to have sufficient time to allow the idol to be dry so that it can be polished and painted.
Yes. we do indeed! Not all... but some of them... :-)
However our main unit is in Dadar,Mumbai.
Fantastic! We ourselves like it. We could tell you what is being done by people when they collect the murtee from our place in Mumbai. They bring Pat (Wooden platform) to carry the murtee, Vida (Supari and Paan with), Raw Rice, Coconut, Vastra, Akshata. Some akshata (rice grains mixed with vermillion) and vastra is put on the Pat Ganpatee murtee is placed on top of it Rice and coconut is placed in front of Ganesh murtee in a Tamhan (plate used for puja) Dakshina along with Vida is placed in Tamhan Using vastra murtee's face is covered Murtee is picked up by the Yajman from behind so that murtee's face and yajman's face are in same direction Note that this is not what we recommend. It is entirely your decision what you want to do and how.
Ganpati Pujan samgree is not hugely different from what you use on daily basis for the Pooja. However for the benefit of those who are not able to source it due to some constraint, we are going to make it available soon.
We believe that activities like - making makhar, modak etc, should be thoroughly enjoyed by families celebrating Ganesh Chaturtee.
However for those who are pressed for time, we will try to source few near to Ganesh Chaturtee. Stay tuned!
